GDPR

On 25 May 2018, Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC, commonly known as GDPR, came into force. Its implementation has revolutionized the principles of personal data protection. This law applies to all entrepreneurs who process personal data in the territory of the European Union, regardless of the legal form in which they conduct their business and its size. Failure to comply with its provisions may result in the imposition of severe financial penalties of up to EUR 20 million or 4 % of the company's annual turnover.
